TN Handgun Carry Classes

DUE TO PUBLIC HEALTH CONCERNS, CURRENT CLASSES ARE LIMITED TO 15 PEOPLE MAX. MASKS WILL BE PROVIDED AT NO COST FOR THOSE WHO WISH TO WEAR THEM.

Here at TRR Guns, we understand that the necessity for protection of yourself and those you love doesn't stop when you walk out your front door. Take the first step towards obtaining your Tennessee Handgun Carry Permit and join us in the state required class.

As of January 1, 2020, TN now offers two permit types: The Enhanced Handgun Permit and the Concealed Handgun Permit. The Enhanced permit is an 8 hour course and the Concealed permit is a 2 hour course which does not require any live fire.

This course is a requirement under TCA 39-17-1351(e), with exceptions for certain military and law enforcement members with the proper documentation.

All class booking is handled electronically to ensure that classes are not overbooked. Each class has a max limit of 15 students. A shooting proficiency test is required for satisfactory completion of the Enhanced permit class. Rental firearms are offered for $20.00 (ammunition included)
